What is the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?
Accounting involves interpretiing and analyzing data, which bookkeeping does not. Bookkeeping is the recording of financial transactions, typically done on an ongoing basis, at time of transaction or at the end of each day. Accounting is the analyzing, reporting and summarizing of financial data.
